Who we are

Hi! We're Flashlingo — a small, independently run project built by language-learning enthusiasts who got tired of vocabulary apps that felt like homework. So we built the platform we always wanted for ourselves: quick, playful flash-card quizzes that make new words stick.

What we do

Flashlingo turns vocabulary building into a game. Pick a language, choose your level, and race the clock across bite-sized quizzes covering everyday words and phrases. No sign-up walls, no subscriptions, no nagging — just you, a timer, and a few hundred new words waiting to be learned.

Right now we offer French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Mandarin, Japanese, and Malay word banks, each split across Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert levels, with more languages and word lists on the way.

Why it's free

We believe building vocabulary should be available to anyone, not locked behind a paywall. Flashlingo is supported by lightweight advertising so we can keep every word list, quiz mode, and level free to use, forever.

Our approach to learning

• Repetition that sticks. Short, timed rounds you can replay as often as you like until a word finally clicks.
• Learn at your own pace. Three difficulty levels mean there's no pressure to rush ahead.
• Play, don't cram. Multiple game modes keep practice feeling like a game instead of a chore.
