Every language deck on Flashlingo comes in three levels, so you can start where you actually are instead of where a textbook assumes you are.

Tips for learning Italian vocabulary faster

• Italian is highly phonetic — words are pronounced almost exactly the way they're spelled, so once you learn the pronunciation rules you can read most Italian words aloud correctly on sight.
• Nouns are gendered and often predictable from their ending: words ending in -o are usually masculine, -a usually feminine.
• Double consonants genuinely change meaning (pena = pain/sorrow, penna = pen) — Italian pronunciation rewards paying close attention to them.
• You already know more Italian than you think: piano, pizza, studio, and dozens of other everyday English words are Italian loanwords.
• Use Hard mode to practice spelling from memory — it's especially useful in Italian, where double letters are easy to drop if you're only recognizing words, not producing them.
